Art Platform Los Angeles
Aviva and I decided to check out the Art Platform Los Angeles art fair in Santa Monica. It’s held in a few airplane hangers at the Santa Monica Airport. The show was okay, I saw a few things I liked, Aviva saw a few less that she liked (which is normal); we also checked out […]

Photos from DreamForce 2012 #df12
I got to attend DreamForce 2012; in case you don’t know, that’s the yearly meetup for all things Salesforce.com. I had a great time and achieved two of my three objectives (the third will have to come later – there were no good sessions covering what I was looking for). The conference was huge, spanning […]

Two gorgeous business cards from Necromance
Aviva and I visited one of our favorite West Hollywood shops, Necromance, and I picked up their two business cards. The store is really cool; I bought a skunk skull once and on this trip a pair of bone earrings carved in the shape of a human skull. These business cards are fabulous!

Aviva’s first tattoo
Aviva got her first tattoo today – it’s based on a French grotesque figure. She said it hurt a little a couple times – she almost pulled away and the artist warned her not to do that.

Photos from Columbus, Detroit, and around LA
I just found a folder of photos I neglected to post from our trip to visit our families. My mom, sister and brother-in-law live in Columbus, OH, so we flew there first, then rented a car to drive to Detroit – we couldn’t find a direct flight to Detroit from Columbus (!) and the Amtrak […]

Continental Art Supply and the Getty Museum
Today we started at Continental Art Supply and the Bead Shop next door; we had lunch at Mort’s Delicatessen, a good lunch spot in the valley. Then we drove down to the Getty Museum to see the exhibition “Heaven, Hell, and Dying Well: Images of Death in the Middle Ages” which was drawn from their […]
