This is a very cool book – most of it is a graphic novel describing the history and art of Yiddish; those parts are fantastic! I especially enjoyed the early history and the sections illustrating stories.
I thought the textual parts, and especially the section on Yiddish theater, were long-winded and lacked the pacing and content of the more graphic material.
Overall this was a great find (I got this in a comic book store in Ann Arbor, MI while visiting my son)!
