Ravenna to Bologna
We got up late by design – we’re both tired and today is a rest day. We cleaned up and checked out of the hotel. After a quick lunch we took a taxi to the train station and caught a train to Bologna.
We ate a really good, vegetarian lunch at Botega Conti-De Francesco. We walked down to the Farmecia on Cavour and Aviva got band aids and deodorant. We happened upon the farmers market, then back to the hotel for a taxi to the train station.
The train seemed to stop at every little city between Ravenna and Bologna, but we finally arrived and got a cab to the Sheraton which is near the airport. We emptied our bags and repacked – since I got an upgrade (and leaving tomorrow while Aviva continues for a few days to Florence) I’m taking the bigger checked bag in case it’s too heavy (business flyers have a higher weight limit).
And I’m so glad we’re not walking around anymore; I’m sore and tired, and we did see a lot of things off the typical beaten path.
We ate in the hotel restaurant – we’ve stayed here before, the food is good and the service is reasonably quick. We finished repacking and crashed.
