Leaving Paris for home

We slept okay, got up and got breakfast and cleaned up. We have a cab for the airport at 11:30AM. We hope the We hope we’ll get home in time to pick up our dog, Basil – he’s getting old and we want to limit his time away from us now.

Below are pictures of some of the things I bought (and assembled) – yes, I like making things so paper sculptures are always fun. I have a large kit for making a Chartres Cathedral (and one I got in The Netherlands to make St. Bavo in Haarlem, which I visited a couple of years ago).

So, I read two books on this trip, 24 Declassified: Chaos Theory by John Whitman and Anansi Boys by Neil Gaiman. The weather was gorgeous – temps in the 60s to 80s F, only a few drops of rain twice (once while we were eating). I learned that Paris closes up mostly on Sundays. The churches aren’t as decorative as the ones in Italy. I learned to be more careful with my sunglasses. And I learned that museum cards are a great thing in Paris.

We had a wonderful time – hopefully our next trip will be as much fun!
