Day 9 – Departure for home
We gave our change to the cleaning crew (who did quite well) and tips to the desk staff (they were always friendly and helpful). Then, off to the airport.
The Charles D' Gaulle airport is interesting – first, we had to go to customs 3 times and a ticket agent twice to finally get the right flight. When we boarded, Aviva asked the purser if there was a safer place for the prints we brought aboard – this started a short yelling match. After taking our seats, the purser decided to pursue the matter further, threatening to throw us off the plane. I suppose paying customers aren't very valuble to Northwest Airlines (even given the fact that our flight was about 1/2 full). I think we'll stick with KLM instead.
