This month’s cover challenge is Wicked Game. The runner up in the voting was Nothing Compares 2 U and I preferred that one. As I was falling asleep the night the voting ended, I thought about using a riff similar to I Can’t Stand the Rain with Nothing Compares 2 U, and then I realized it might work with Wicked Game. And there it is.

I can’t sing. Melodyne is my friend along with Nectar 3 (which I edited heavily after it gave me its automated result). The vocals are really exposed, that was the plan, and I just hope that wasn’t a mistake.

There’s B3 organ and MiniMoog in there along with traditional rock drums and Latin percussion.
