Santa Croce (almost)

We got another late start – I still didn’t feel well. We decided to go to Santa Croce by way of the Museo Bargello (which we’d never visited before), so we headed off down one of the shopping streets behind the Duomo.
We had a good lunch at Gustoleo across from the museum.
We walked through the Bargello – lots of sculpture, some paintings, on three floors.
Then we walked over to Santa Croce and had a gelato and shopped in a leather shop and an icon shop next to the square. The guy at the leather shop was for Dar es Salam and we talked about my experiences working in Saudi Arabia. Unfortunately we got to Santa Croce so late that services had started, so we’ll have to go to Santa Croce another day.
Aviva wanted to get a nice cameo ring and that meant heading to the Ponte Vecchio – she shopped on the bridge while I sat down and had a gelato.
We found a restaurant next to our apartment that was okay and then crashed.
I think my fever broke – I sweated a ton and then it stopped and I felt a lot better.
