I added an apprentice to my software development team and figured I should brush up, so I bought this book. Apprenticeship Patterns is for apprentices – it contains many patterns an apprentice should apply to become a journeyman in the software development profession. Much of this I had to learn from craftsmen, so I think this book would be a good purchase for new software engineers. It’s written in a very direct style, I think the patterns are clear and easy to understand.
