Hollywood and West Hollywood

Today Nathan and I went shopping at a few cool stores in Hollywood and West Hollywood.

First though, we stopped at Kit Kraft, where we bought a few neat miniature kits.

Then, we drove through the hills on Laurel Canyon to West Hollywood. We stopped first at Amoeba Records, which is a huge warehouse/store for everything CD and DVD. Nathan got some new and used Mindless Self-Indulgence and Buckethead, and I got a CD of Debashish Bhattacharya performing Indian slide guitar, which is very neat (I like MSI by the way).

Next, we drove back to Necromance. I got Aviva a spiders web embedded in glass, and I bought a Muskrat skull; Nathan bought a grey fox tail for his medieval recreation armour.

We ate at the buffet at Star of India, which was good if a little under spiced.

Drove over to Meltdown, one of the biggest comic book stores in LA. I got Tank Girl 2 and a free copy of The Lost Ones, along with two Adult Swim figures.

Then we drove down Hollywood Blvd. so Nathan could see all the tourists. We ended up at Wacko, which is a really strange bookstore in Hollywood. We both bought tchachkas.

When we got back, we put “V for Vendetta” back on, and I assembled the d-torso mouse kit I bought at the bookstore yesterday.

We got carry out from Stonefire Grill down the street and then crashed.
