At the Mountains of Madness and Other Tails of Terror

My son Nathan recommended this book to me – I had nearly finished the book I brought along for the flights and hotel room, and he said this was really cool and a reasonable size for travelling. He was right on both scores.

This book, a collection of short stories, is quite good. I liked “At the Mountains of Madness” for its descriptive details. I’m not sure I think its a work of horror, but it was quite interesting and paints a picture of an interesting past.

I most enjoyed “The Shunned House” as I felt it was both horrible and built to a strong climax.
