We awoke, showered, got breakfast and a cab to the center of Bologna. As we walked, we found Aviva's street!

That describes Aviva pretty well

We then walked to Museo Ebriaca, which is located on the edge of the old Jewish Ghetto; this is a Jewish history museum that was funded and started by the non-Jewish community in Bologna to remember the holocaust. I also found the marker for where the synagogue in the ghetto was located until World War II.

We walked back towards city center and ate lunch. On the way out we found a very cool canopy on a building.

We walked down to San Domenico.

Then, at Aviva's insistance, we hiked over to Corpus Domine – this is a church with the body of a saint for the city propped in a chair behind glass (sorry, they didn't allow pictures).

We walked over to Santo Steffano, which is a combination of 5 churches connected by passageways. There are a couple of very old churches in the complex, dating back to around 1000AD.

On the walk from San Steffano, we saw a cool building with heads on the facade – since I have a series of head photos in my cube, I've added one here.

We had a devilishly good time

Since we had a big lunch, we ate dinner at Spizzico, which is an Italian fast food chain.

We caught a cab back to our room and packed and relaxed. We also ate some pastries we bought on the walk towards Piazza Maggiore from Santo Steffano. I finished Angels & Demons; the book is okay, but you can figure out what's going to happen before it happens at some points. I'll be bringing A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (Penguin Classics) with me for the flights. Slept fitfully.
