May 12 - London

We got up and had a good breakfast. The wireless internet access isn't working - oh well. Anyway, we got out and walked over to the St. Pancras station - its one of the oldest rail stations left in London and is being refit to be the end of the Channel Tunnel line.

We then got a cab and rode over to the Tate British. We walked through the Turners, which were amazing. We ate a wonderful lunch in the cafe (skip the restaurant - the cafe is better). Aviva had the fish pie and I had a meat pie - really great. As we went back into the galleries the fire alarm went off - we had to stand outside for about 15 minutes and then were allowed back in. We went straight to the William Blake room, which was amazing, and then hit the shop and found a cab.

We got to Westminster Abbey. We walked through most of the abbey and then caught yet another cab.

We rode over to the Temple Church, which is located within the lawyers area across from the main court building. This church is one of the oldest in London - it was bombed in World War II but has been restored. The church was built by Knights Templar in the late 1100's.

We got a cab over to Covent Garden, which is a shopping and restaurant area. We ate at an Italian restaurant and then walked a bit more and got a ride back to the hotel.
