Today we walked to a sporting goods shop to see if I could get a Palermo football jersey – they didn’t have XXL. The, it was over to the Liberte area to shop a little, then caught the City Sightseeing bus to ride around Palermo for an hour or so. We got off near the waterfront and bought some ceramics (of course). We had lunch at a local Osteria. We then had a Coke and decided that we’d rather see churches than shop some more, so we walked over to the Oratorio dei Rosaria di Santa Cita.<\/p>\n

We walked past some of the silversmiths to Chiesa di San Dominico, which was still closed.<\/p>\n

We then walked across part of the old city to reach Chiesa di San Francesco D’Assisi; this was not a good part of town at all, Aviva was quite afraid but it was sunny daylight and no one bothered us at all.<\/p>\n

We reached Chiesa di San Francesco D’Assisi. This church was badly damaged during World War II but has been largely restored.<\/p>\n

We walked back to Chiesa di San Dominico, which to our surprise was open! But, services were starting so we took a quick look and then exited.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
