I discovered a comedy manga set called Yotsuba&!<\/a>, which is all about two sisters, their family and friends. In episode 28, Yosuba’s young friend dresses up in cardboard boxes to “become” a robot; they play together for a day and then “he” goes home.<\/p>\n

A Japanese company makes figures after the series, and the Dan Board robot figure has been especially popular. They came out with a special figure, making the boxes from amazon.co.jp (Japan’s Amazon.com); they are coming out with a full series of figures for a 7-11 marketing campaign in a month or so.<\/p>\n

I found this figure on eBay – the robot eyes light up with a switch, which is a clever twist.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
