We&#8217;re flying    Aer Lingus on the trip out. We had to check our carry-on bags &#8211; apparently European    airlines have lower weight constraints than US carriers. And, we sat on the    plane, an Airbus 330, for over an hour pulled back from the gate because:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>they had to take bags off the plane for some transfers that didn&#8217;t show      up, and<\/li>\n<li>weather north of O&#8217;Hare was dicy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Aviva and I are crammed in like sardines &#8211; the seats are smaller than US carrier    seats.
