We took a vaporetto to the tip of Dorsoduro, the Basilica di San Maria della Salute<\/a>. Then, on to the Peggy Guggenheim<\/a> and then ending at the Galleria dell Accademia, which has a huge painting collection and is most worthwhile to visit. After a hearty lunch at a trattoria with an old, energetic waitress, we crossed the Grand Canal on the Ponte dell Accademia; this is a great bridge for taking those postcard photos of Venice.<\/p>\n

We then saw the Cosmos show up at the Palazzo Grassi (there were two Turners that we just loved). Today was an art day.<\/p>\n
