We saw the movie S\u00c3\u00a9raphine<\/a> today.\u00c2\u00a0 The movie is about S\u00c3\u00a9raphine de Senlis, a famous French “modern primitive” painter; you can read more about her here<\/a>.\u00c2\u00a0 The film is dark, mirroring her internal landscape; there is very little dialog, again mirroring her psychological state.\u00c2\u00a0 She works as a cleaning woman and paints because God and the angels tell her to.<\/p>\n

I don’t want to give away what happens – this is a movie worth seeing.<\/p>\n
