Its a novel based upon the short section of the Torah describing the life of Dinah, daughter of Leah and Jacob.<\/p>\n<p>Not only is the book interesting from a historical perspective, for example in how very early Judaic practices interwove with previous pagan practice, but also as a well written, beautifully constructed novel with characters that are deep and consistent.
