Aviva and I went ot the new Star Trek movie today. No spoilers here.

This is a movie to go see, especially if you watched the original series, Star Trek: Next Generation, and Enterprise.  There are a number of wonderful connections made with these series, for example the inclusion of Captain Christopher Pike, who features prominently in the pilot episode of the original Star Trek series.  There’s also a surprising love interest in this movie that goes against some opinions of the original series (again, no spoilers so you gotta watch the movie to know what I’m talking about).

The special effects are nice, there’s lots of action, and its just plain good fun!
