Play Money: Or, How I Quit My Day Job and Made Millions Trading Virtual Loot

When I read a short reference to this book in a magazine, I figured I should read the book and then send it to my son – he’s bought and sold stuff from on-line games and I thought this might be interesting. It is….

This book is a quick read with lots of interesting tangents, for example Dibbell’s research on work as play (which is how it should be mostly, I think) and the whole fake economy that MMOs have, much like many large corporations (what’s a budget anyway but a false economy striving to make people make desirable decisions).
