Shopping, the Orgnassanti and the Oltrarno

You are viewing an old revision of this post, from October 2, 2017 @ 14:18:17. See below for differences between this version and the current revision.

We got out late (we’ve given up trying to get going early – being in an apartment makes it easier to hang around somehow).

We walked down a few shopping streets, grabbed lunch, and found some really interesting stores (one that specialized in lighting and a rubber duck shop, for example). The lighting store (Controluce) directed us to a print shop we’d visited at least two trips before, Giovanni Baccani – The Blue Shop. We bought a large decorated box and a long narrow grotesque print.

Then we visited the Organssanti – only the church was open, the cloisters were closed for an event.

Then we got a taxi to the Oltrarno (the other side of the Arno) and shopped and visited a couple churches.

Aviva found a restaurant we’d been looking for, Ristorante Paoli – I recommend it highly, they have good food and a very friendly helpful staff.
