This book claims to be about Muslim punks, but in reality its a coming of age, and coming to his personal understanding of Islam, story of a Muslim young man.  Yusef’s family is from Pakistan, and he’s attending a university in Buffalo, NY.  He’s living in a “Muslim” house, but the people inside are a crazy quilt of the edges of Islam.

Taquacore is the name given to the punk rock being performed on the west coast of the US by Islamic bands.

The ending of the book comes in a rush and will bowl you over like a tsunnami.  I recommend this book highly!
