Hiding in the Mirror: The Quest for Alternate Realities, from Plato to String

I wanted to catch up on the latest theories in quantum mechanics without the detail (I haven’t looked at math like that in a long, long time).  This book was quite nice.  It read pretty easily but also conveyed some very complicated ideas (like D-brane theory).  If you want a condensed, meant-for-normal-people look at high- and low-energy physics, this is a good choice.  Mr. Krauss also wrote a couple of books debunking / explaining the physics of Star Trek.
