I liked this book. It was well written and the story was gripping. Its loosely based on the story of Hannah and her son, the prophet Samuel.
There are some racy parts to the book, but also some nice allegory. If you like biblical fiction, this is almost as good (not quite as imaginary) as The Red Tent.
