We woke up and had breakfast. We then couldn’t decide what to do, as we had a 17:35 flight to Catania, so we just walked around the hotel, did a little shopping, stopped for a good lunch at Cito di Santa Brigida, just down from the beautiful old covered shopping area.

Our flight was uneventful, we met our driver and he took us to Taormina. And what a drive! Taormina is on three hills overlooking the bay; our hotel, Hotel Villa Diodoro, is on the second hill, with a spectacular view of the harbor. We got in late (nearly 20:00), so we eat a light meal in the hotel restaurant, which is quite nice and old-fashioned, and then went to sleep.
